The 25-year-old Egyptian striker fired home a free-kick to secure a point for Boro with just seven minutes remaining. Mido, who came on as a 67th minute substitute for Afonso Alves said: "I can strike the ball and I should do that a bit more. "This goal will give me confidence to have more shots on goal and hopefully more goals out of it. I feel well. I was disappointed to miss the last two games because I thought I had done well. "I´ve got to be positive. To come on and do well for the team and to get a goal was a very good feeling." West Ham took the lead on 21 minutes through Hayden Mullins and had the best of the play in the first half. Boro came back into the game after the break, with Mido levelling the scores, but had keeper Ross Turnbull to thank for keeping it all square. Turnbull pulled off a remarkable double save from Lee Bowyer and Jack Collison in the dying minutes of the game. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
